Howdy folks,We've covered plenty of digital marketing ground in this months Digital Digest. We're giving away a ticket for a great event in July, we've the latest innovations by the internet giants Google and Facebook covered, we've some "I cant believe they shared that..." type blog posts, we're announcing an upcoming Wolfgang event and we've managed to squeeze in a small dose of the craic. First of all, my apologies if last months newsletter didn’t make it through to you. I’d included a few words on Wolfgang’s “other business”, and I understand this sent some of your spam filters into high alert. For those of you who missed it, I’ve published May's newsletter on our blog. The main news is we’ve moved into a new bigger, brighter office 500 yards down the road.
The new Wolfgang HQ is feeling more and more like home every week. We’ve put a little Vine together for you to introduce you to our new trio of Goldfish; Wolfgang the Third (who has, since the time of writing, tragically passed away), Rand and Wanda.
We also got our paws on an obnoxiously luminious orange sofa. Our resident fashionista Roisin warned that it would clash quite violently with one of our purple walls, so I couldn’t resist pairing them. The “party room” is now just shy a disco ball.
Battle of the Internet Giants
The big news from Digital Media Land in June was Facebook changing its News Feed algorithm. This change is great news for content
marketers and a move against clickbait type headlines. You can read all about it here.

Out & About: July Digital Marketing Events
After a very busy May, June was a quiet month for conferences, thankfully there's a few gems in July.

We’re really looking forward to attending Learn Inbound on Wednesday the 22nd. It has some top quality speakers jetting in from the UK including Lisa Myers, Stacey McNaught and Ben Norman. If you are interested in SEO, Content Marketing or Inbound Marking this is as good as it gets for an evening event in Dublin.

As you read this, many of the world’s top SEOs have assembled Seattle for Mozcon on July 11th. Brendan and I will be there "marinating in the knowledge" for the 3 days. We’ll have a round up ready for you in next month's newsletter. Seattle is the home of corporate giants Starbucks, Amazon, Microsoft, Moz and REI, but it’s the cultural heritage that stands out for us. Brendan was a grunge crazy teenager so he is particularly excited to visit the birthplace of Nirvana.
Essential Reading From The Blogosphere
“A rising tide lifts all boats”
I read 3 stand-out blogs in June that I want to share with you. The common theme between these 3 posts is they are authored by somebody who is at the top of their game and they are essentially giving away their secret sauce. The first 2 are from Harbo:
How we built €20,000 in monthly recurring revenue for our start up within 90 days of launch. “Nothing is more powerful than a bit of word-of-mouth marketing so we decided to put it on steroids.”How we growth hacked a blog up to 2 million monthly page views withing 150 days of launch. "Facebook is the most accurate ad machine in the history of the world"And the third is from Rand:
