Last Saturday marked International Women's Day, a global celebration of the achievements, resilience, and contributions of women. Around the world, companies showcased their support through campaigns, panels, and social media posts.
While these gestures are valuable, true commitment to gender equality isn’t about a single day of recognition - it’s about continuous action. At Wolfgang, we embody this philosophy every day through She-Wolves, our dedicated initiative designed to empower and uplift women within our organisation and beyond.
Transparency & Accountability: Sharing Our Gender Pay Gap Data
At Wolfgang, we believe that transparency is the foundation of real progress. That’s why, since 2018, we have published our gender pay and opportunity figures - because numbers don’t lie, and accountability drives change.
According to the European Commission, the gender pay gap in the EU stood at 12.7% in 2021, meaning women earned 13% less per hour than men on average. Additionally, the gender employment gap remains significant, with 69.3% of women employed compared to 80% of men across the EU.
So, how does Wolfgang compare? #RunTheCalc
We’re proud to report that, once again, our basic pay gender gap remains at 0%. Even when factoring in bonuses, the difference is a tiny 1% - a flip from last year’s results! This means we are consistently delivering on our promise of equal pay for equal work.
Encouraging Women in Thought Leadership & Promotions
But gender equality isn’t just about pay - it’s about presence. Women’s voices belong in boardrooms, on industry panels, and in leadership positions. That’s why we’re committed to ensuring gender balance in thought leadership and career progression.
At Wolfgang, we prioritise diverse representation at events like Essentials and WG Intelligence, ensuring that women have equal opportunities to showcase their expertise. In 2024, we saw a notable increase in the number of women stepping up for speaking engagements and publishing opportunities - a trend that we are delighted to see gaining momentum.
When it comes to career growth, 42% of promotions this year went to women, compared to 58% for men. While this ratio might seem slightly uneven, it mirrors our hiring trends, with a higher percentage of women joining Wolfgang in 2024. As these talented professionals advance in their careers, we anticipate an even greater representation of women in leadership roles in the future.
The Impact of She-Wolves
She-Wolves isn’t just a catchy name - it’s a movement. Over the years, it has sparked vital conversations on topics that matter, from Unconscious Bias and Gender-Based Violence to Sexism in Language, Witches and Beauty Standards, and Period Power. We’ve also participated in Bystander Intervention Training to create a safer, more inclusive work environment for all.
But our impact extends far beyond the walls of Wolfgang. We have actively championed women’s rights in the community, proudly standing up for Repeal and donating €171k to women’s charities over the years. Because supporting women isn’t just an internal mission - it’s a societal responsibility.
Best Workplace for Women 2025
We’re beyond proud to share that, for the second consecutive year, Wolfgang has been placed on GPTW’s Best Workplaces for Women list. This achievement isn’t just about our female team members - it’s a reflection of a workplace where everyone contributes to an environment of inclusivity and empowerment.
Looking Ahead
At Wolfgang, we know that real change doesn’t come from a single day of recognition - it comes from consistent, meaningful action. Our commitment to gender equality is unwavering, and we will continue to push forward with initiatives that champion pay equity, professional opportunities, and workplace inclusivity.
Because when women thrive, we all thrive. And at Wolfgang, we’re here to make sure that happens - not just on International Women’s Day, but every day throughout the year!
