I've been feeling quite tiperific lately (if you are a subscriber of our newsletter, you will be quite familiar with that term!). One thing I am being faced with more and more recently is clients looking for the secret to building their Google+ following. Unfortunately, there is no nice little Google+ "Likes" ad or "Promoted Account" ad you can create à la Facebook or Twitter. The task of building Google+ circles is very much a manual (and boring) task. I have searched high and low for tools to make my life easier when it comes to growing circles, but unfortunately it seems these tools are few and far between. I HAVE, however, found one or two tools that have helped me along. This is my favourite one...
GPlusData
GPlusData is a brilliant tool. I've been using it for a couple of months, and as the weeks go by, it has been getting better and better. It has become easier to navigate, and the research results for Ireland-related searches are becoming more populated. Using this tool, you can narrow searches by topic, age, relationship status, gender, country, occupation, language, education, and employer. This is a search I did for people in Ireland who are interested in marketing. 
Other favourites of mine include Recommended Users, which is great for those who are looking for more general interest followers regardless of origin); and Find people on Google+, though it lacks the filtering capabilities that GPlusData has. Of course, this is the lazy way to build circles! You need to create great content and ENGAGE with people on Google+ to really have an impact!
